Description
Some plants just go that extra mile, and Dahlia 'Feline Yvonne' is one of them. Its large (12cm across) vivid pink flowers have rich hints of plum purple, and are contrasted against dark, near-black stems. It has been found in trials to be particularly robust and weather resistant, with a strong, vigorous growth habit. What’s not to love?! At 1m in height, Dahlia 'Feline Yvonne' is perfect for working its magic through the middle to back of a border.
Originating from Central and South America, dahlias like 'Feline Yvonne' are half-hardy and, in the UK, will need some form of winter protection. Many gardeners lift and store the tubers in a frost-free environment, while others prefer to leave them in the ground with a thick layer of insulating mulch such as a pile of bark chippings. 'Feline Yvonne' dahlias are best seen planted in groups of five or more.
