Colocasia
'Mojito'
speckled elephant ears
Here’s a plant which is so extraordinary from head to toe it will really make jaws drop. The perfect, contrasting highlight for a leafy, jungle-style planting scheme, Colocasia 'Mojito' is all about the foliage. With swirling, blotched batik-like patterns in zesty lime green and black marbling every leaf – even the stems are striped - there is absolutely no need for flowers to make this gutsy plant stand out!
Enjoying a chilled out spot at the foot of a palm, under a small tree or among shrubs, this shade-loving character likes a bit of shelter. Colocasia 'Mojito' puts on a lot of growth in one season and makes a high-impact display in the first year, be it grown in large pots or in the border. Whether you choose to plant it straight outside in late spring or give it a head start by starting it off in your home, you will be amazed and impressed to have this unusual, exotic treasure looking so fantastic, indoors or out!
Our Colocasia bulbs are grown and cultivated in Costa Rica.
