Calla collection
'Tiger'
zantedeschia
The popular, striking and exotic-looking Calla Lily 'Tiger' collection, which teams orange-red lilies and their black counterparts, will produce a truly dramatic show. Plant them in spring and try to keep patient till the curtain rises on their performance in summer. Colour combinations on the furled 'Tiger' collection bulbs can be unpredictable. This adds extra excitement and expectation as you wait for the show to open. The display is made not by true flowers, but by coloured leaves which unroll into a funnel shape; overlapping at the base, and with a tipped point at the other end. This leaf furls around the myriad of tiny flowers on a tall yellow spadix.
Gracy's gardening tip"Some Calla Lily varieties (like this Tiger collection) come with an attractive white dotted foliage, giving them even more flair!"
