Calla

'Picasso'

zantedeschia

No wonder this particularly striking Calla Lily 'Picasso' bears the name of the great artist. This variety’s colour scheme of deep purple brushed onto white ties in well with the shape of the calla lily bloom. Its heart-shaped funnel lends itself to particularly strong and unusual design opportunities when it comes to floral arrangements (and will give an arty touch to your garden). The flowers fit comfortably together like jig-saw pieces in vases so intricate patterns can be created, either for viewing straight on or from above.

The tighter you group Calla Lily 'Picasso' bulbs, the more geometric the result, but a freer approach can result in incredible lines through the arrangement of white borders and deep purple swathes.

Gracy's gardening tip
"Some Calla Lily varieties (like Picasso) come with an attractive white dotted foliage, giving them even more flair!"
