Description
Most callas give the impression that they are works of art rather than blooms, and that they have been splashed with colour by an artist’s hand. Calla 'Captain Prado' is one of those calla lilies—so much so that it shares the name of the artist, Prado, whose style these beautiful blooms seem to emulate. Deep red, pink and green blend beautifully into each other in the jug-like bloom, creating a living artwork that changes as the bloom matures. An extra painterly touch is added with the white spotting on the large green leaves. This provides the perfect foil for this beautiful display of colour. Show the beautiful Calla 'Captain Prado' off in containers or in borders.
Gracy's gardening tip
"Some Calla varieties (like 'Captain Prado') come with an attractive white dotted foliage, giving them even more flair!"
