Go for a bright contrast all in one leafy hit with high-powered Caladium 'Rosebud'. It may have a country cottage name, but this is quite the modern alternative. Flashy leaves of lime green are centred with a shocking pink spark surrounded by an illuminating white glow. With so much going on, it’s fair to say that every fascinating leaf puts on an incredible show of its very own without needing anything else for company.

Put it in the spotlight as a main focal point in a shady border or patio, or make a statement colour surge by combining it with other bright varieties. Caladiums, like this variety called 'Rosebud', are tender bulbs and should be grown either as summer bedding or as a houseplant. What’s best about growing them outside is that they like to dwell in the shadier parts of the garden – with such bright and long-lasting foliage, they do wonders for brightening up the space and giving it a tropical look!
