Description

With the cutest little smattering of pink freckles across her delicate leaves, Caladium 'Miss Muffet' is a compact, candy-coloured delight that we can see sitting pretty in any planting scheme.  The near-translucent leaves feature a central white star — and a bright, zesty lime green outer margin that makes this variety truly unique. Most other cultivars come in a much darker green — so we’re sure the discerning caladium connoisseur will be keen to snap up the vibrant ‘Miss Muffet’ for their collection!

Heat-loving caladiums should be protected from frosts and cold temperatures, so it’s always best to start these tropical beauties off indoors, where they can get the consistent warmth they need to come out of dormancy. It can take a few weeks to see signs of growth, but once that first shoot emerges then you’re in for a treat as a whole bunch of gorgeous leaves will burst forth soon afterwards! Just plant shallowly, keep the compost moist but well-drained, and you can expect a gorgeous display right up til autumn when this deciduous bulb will shed its leaves and can be lifted and kept snug over winter ready for re-planting next spring.

Caladium 'Miss Muffet' bulbs are cultivated in Florida, USA
