Description
This stunning, brand-new Caladium will brighten any spot in your home—it will tolerate a spot that receives a lot of sunshine, as well as one that doesn't, so even a shady corner will suddenly come to life! Caladium 'Limelite' is one of the Fancy Leaf Caladiums, with large, pale lime green leaves. In the centres of the leaves, where the main veins converge, attractive maroon and pink spots and markings draw the eye. Some leaves have a greater amount of maroon and pink in them, while some others may lighten to a cream-white colour, with the same pink spots. Caladium 'Limelite' is medium to tall, at 45-75cm in height.
Caladium 'Limelite' is a tropical foliage plant—wild caladiums grow around the Amazon Basin – meaning that it may be grown either as a cool houseplant, or as summer bedding, where it will provide a long season of colour from late spring right through to autumn. When growing outdoors, it will do best in a partially shaded spot with a good, rich soil. Its size means that it is ideal for the front of a tropical border, or to help fill out a patio pot.
Caladium 'Limelite' bulbs are cultivated in Florida, USA
