Description

Add some highlights to your spring garden with these glitzy little stars Bellevalia romana. The loose clusters of blooms are dainty and delicate but really work hard, flowering for a long time and creating a cloud-like profusion and airy mistiness that looks absolutely fabulous both close up and from afar. This unusual variety has some lovely details that make it just that extra bit special, with purple anthers that dot the centres of the white flowers and matching purple flower stem. In addition, Bellevalia romana have a sweet fragrance too!

While this plant is quite unusual, it’s not at all faint-hearted. Bellevalia romana is fully hardy and boldly resilient, doing well in most conditions. It particularly likes a sunny position in a border where it will flower merrily every spring and naturalise gradually year after year. This is a good choice for Bellevalia for use as cut flower, and by cutting a few stems to display indoors you’ll be able to appreciate their lovely scent and pretty flowers even more.
