Description
Anemone 'Languedoc Mix' captures the fresh, carefree spirit of spring in a wonderfully colourful collection. Its broad, silky petals open around intricate dark centres, creating flowers with that unmistakable anemone charm: simple in form, yet remarkably expressive. Anemone 'Languedoc Mix' brings together clear white, vivid pink and beautiful shades of violet-blue, with natural variations giving every planting a pleasingly spontaneous character. Some blooms are soft and delicate, others decidedly more exuberant, so a generous group creates a tapestry of colour rather than a regimented display. The flowers rise above finely divided green foliage, making Anemone 'Languedoc Mix' particularly effective for filling gaps between spring bulbs and emerging perennials in beds and borders.
There is plenty of versatility behind those pretty faces. Anemone 'Languedoc Mix' is equally suited to patio pots, window boxes and other containers, where its jewel-like flowers can be enjoyed at close quarters. Plant the corms generously for a succession of blooms, combining them with narcissus, tulips and muscari for an abundant spring display. The flowers are also excellent for cutting, bringing their crisp colours and distinctive centres to relaxed seasonal bouquets. Anemone 'Languedoc Mix' can be planted in spring, or planted in autumn for flowering the following year, with winter protection advisable in colder or exposed locations. Cheerful without being garish and charmingly unpredictable, Anemone 'Languedoc Mix' makes mixing colours look remarkably sophisticated.
