Choose a sturdy pot with drainage holes, allowing around 3cm between the bulb and the pot’s edge.
'Picobello Majesty'
syn. Hippeastrum 'Picobello Majesty'
Amaryllis 'Picobello Majesty' is an indoor bulb with a cool, graceful presence, producing large double flowers in luminous ivory-white with fresh green shading at the throat. Each petal is finely edged with the thinnest thread of red, a delicate outline that gives the blooms definition without disturbing their serene mood. The effect is crisp, refined and rather beautifully balanced, like porcelain with a tiny flourish of lipstick at the rim. Held on strong green stems above glossy, strap-shaped leaves, Hippeastrum 'Picobello Majesty' makes an elegant winter feature for bright rooms, sideboards and windowsills.
Plant Amaryllis 'Picobello Majesty' in a well-drained pot, leaving the upper part of the bulb visible, and place it somewhere warm and bright. Water lightly at first, then more regularly once growth begins, always avoiding soggy compost. Its pale flowers look especially striking in simple ceramic containers, where the green centres and fine red edging can be properly admired. Long-lasting and wonderfully easy to grow, Amaryllis 'Picobello Majesty' is ideal for festive displays, thoughtful gifting or bringing a little calm splendour indoors. Fresh, poised and quietly luxurious, Hippeastrum 'Picobello Majesty' proves that subtlety can still make quite an entrance.

Use peat-free multipurpose compost and position the bulb with its pointed end upwards. Leave the neck and upper third of the bulb above the compost.
Place the pot indoors in a warm, bright position away from direct heat. Turn it regularly as the stem grows to keep it straight.
Water lightly after planting, then sparingly until growth appears. Increase watering as the plant develops, keeping the compost lightly moist but never waterlogged.
Remove faded flowers, but retain the flower stalk until it yellows. Continue watering and feeding while the leaves remain green to replenish the bulb.
