Part of the popular and highly-regarded Nymph series of Amaryllis developed by Dutch breeders, Hippeastrum 'Happy Nymph' will often produce several flowers atop sturdy stems. The bulbs can be forced to flower in winter indoors by growing them in pots, which is what a lot of gardeners do to satisfy that winter urge for plants and flowers! But you can also take a leaf out of tropical growers’ books, and plant outdoors in the garden once the risk of frost is past, to enjoy these sumptuous blooms in terrace pots or even in borders.
