Amaryllis 'Giant Amadeus'

By growing these bulbs indoors, you can time the flowering to suit your desires, whether that be in time for Christmas or during the dark days of January and February—the warmer the position, the quicker they tend to grow and flower.  

Like any Amaryllis, to get the most out of Hippeastrum 'Giant Amadeus' by growing it in a gritty free-draining compost mix in a pot placed in bright but filtered light. The bulbs respond to temperature, so you can control its growth by placing in a cooler room to delay it, or positioning it in a warmer spot to bring on flowering sooner. You’ll be rewarded with large, impactful blooms growing on sturdy stems, each topped with multiple flowers. All you then need to do is place your Hippeastrum 'Giant Amadeus' in a prime position so you can gaze at it whenever you need a winter pick-me-up.
