Choose a sturdy pot with drainage holes, allowing around 3cm between the bulb and the pot’s edge.
'Cybister Rose'
syn. Hippeastrum 'Cybister Rose'
Unusual and intriguing, Hippeastrum 'Cybister Rose' carries an air of exotic elegance with its beautifully elongated slender petals in shades of salmon pink and antique rose, which deepens to a velvety purple towards the throat . Subtle strokes of soft lime green on the buds complement its demure tones perfectly. Part of the unusual and sought-after Spider group of Hippeastrum, 'Cybister Rose' sweeps its petals back to perfection, revealing upcurved stamens that delightfully enhance its light and airy appearance, resembling butterflies dancing on the breeze.
Perfect for a modern, sleek look, Hippeastrum 'Cybister Rose' can produce up to three flowering stems, sometimes reaching up to 60cm tall. With each stem carrying multiple flowers, this beauty gives you a long-lasting display of loveliness in the middle of winter. The incredible Amaryllis 'Cybister Rose' is sure to intrigue anyone who catches sight of its beautiful form. And although it has the appearance of a delicate and exotic rarity, it is cared for like any other Hippeastrum and can be kept as a house plant for a repeat show in future years.

Use peat-free multipurpose compost and position the bulb with its pointed end upwards. Leave the neck and upper third of the bulb above the compost.
Place the pot indoors in a warm, bright position away from direct heat. Turn it regularly as the stem grows to keep it straight.
Water lightly after planting, then sparingly until growth appears. Increase watering as the plant develops, keeping the compost lightly moist but never waterlogged.
Remove faded flowers, but retain the flower stalk until it yellows. Continue watering and feeding while the leaves remain green to replenish the bulb.
