We’ve combined two amazing allium varieties into one handy, ready-made collection, comprising Allium azureum (caeruleum) and Allium moly. Grow these two together and you’re in for a real treat. This striking blue and yellow allium combination is a real feast for the eyes. When you’re thinking of planting combinations, you have to consider flowering time, height, structure and colour – we’ve done that for you so all you have to do is plant the bulbs in mixed groups in autumn and wait for the show to start! Alliums not only provide excellent early summer interest to the garden, but they make great cut flowers too.

Choose full sun or partial shade. Improve heavy soil with organic matter and horticultural grit. For containers, use peat-free multipurpose compost with good drainage.
Plant bulbs pointed side upwards, two to three times their own height deep. A slightly flattened side is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about.
Space small bulbs around 5cm apart. Larger bulbs need more room, generally around twice their own width apart, so their foliage and flowers can develop freely.
Water after planting if the soil is dry, then only when needed. After flowering, allow the foliage to die back naturally. Decorative seedheads can remain in place.
