Description
Attract bees and butterflies to your garden with this colourful pastel mix of Achillea millefolium! Flower-packed heads in summery sorbet shades of soft pink, yellow, orange and cerise look so in tune with each other. Close up you will see that they're formed of hundreds of tiny little blooms, all tightly huddled together to form one big nectar-rich dinner plate shaped head. Bees will happily banquet their way across these pastel-coloured blooms whilst butterflies like to spread their wings and bask.
Achillea millefolium 'Summer Pastels' are easy to grow in most soil types and do best in a sunny position. This fully hardy perennial is one you can look forward to seeing again and again as it returns every year, gradually spreading into a wider clump with more stems each time. Plant yarrow in a space towards the middle-back of the border among other flowering perennials, dahlias or ornamental grasses and enjoy the show!

Useful information
-
Soak your Achillea 'Summer Pastels' roots in water for 3-6 hours prior to planting.
Plant your "Yarrow" bare roots into temporary pots with a multipurpose compost in spring and grow-on in a sheltered spot outdoors.
Choose a pot which comfortably fits the bare roots. Some have a noticeable crown which should be just below the soil surface with any top growth exposed.
Plant out into borders or permanent containers in late spring or early summer once in full growth. Choose a position in sun or shade depending on the variety.
