Some plant names just won’t go away, and although most botanists will agree that Anomatheca species now belong in several other genera including that of the Freesia, gardeners still know and love their Anomathecas under their now-defunct scientific name. The academic debate won’t matter to you once you have these attractive little bulbs settled into your garden. Instead, you might find yourself wondering if flower fairies will come out and play between the grass-like tussocks of foliage. The only way you’ll know is to plant them and observe them closely.
