Description
The wonderful evergreen foliage of Yucca filamentosa will provide year-round interest and structure in borders or containers. With mature plants, tall spikes rise above the foliage in mid-to late summer, carrying tall panicles of white, bell-shaped flowers. The long, sword-shaped leaves are deep green. This exotic-looking plant, commonly known as Adam's needle and thread, makes a great focal point, and is ideal for sunny spots where, once established, it will be superbly tolerant of drought conditions.
Being evergreen, of course, Yucca filamentosa will add useful colour and structure to the garden even through the harshest of winters. Over the years, this plant can develop into many-headed clumps of lax foliage.
