Description
There’s orange, and then there is orange – with Gladiolus 'Prince of Orange', you’ll get to see quite a few of the many shades of orange there are. This supposedly single-coloured gladiolus plays with the different shades of the basic colour, overlaying lighter hues of pale orange on the deep and glowing base. Even the stamens of the blooms are, not surprisingly, orange! But if you think that sounds boring or dull, think again. Perhaps this large-flowering gladiolus has got the message from the TV series that "Orange is the New Black". Certainly it has many shades of orange (if not '50 Shades of Grey') working for it.
