Description
Eye candy in the form of flowers is always a treat. Phlox 'Sweet Summer Candy' is a real feast for the eyes and blessed with the prettiest of blooms. Its candyfloss pink petals are kissed with a white glow, and the flowers centred with raspberry-pink eye. Much prized for their sweet perfume, Phlox produce an abundance of long-lasting flowers on long, straight, robust stems—making them a red-hot choice for cut flower bouquets and displays.
Easy to grow and reliable Phlox paniculata 'Sweet Summer Candy' ('Ditosdre'ᴾᴮᴿ) (Sweet Summer Series) is clump forming herbaceous perennial. Being fully hardy and amazingly unfussy, this is an impressive, yet low maintenance option—just a little regular deadheading keeps it looking fresh and producing blooms until late summer. Before the flowers appear in midsummer, the lanceolate, bright green leaves form neat mounds of foliage. Choose a spot with full sun or partial shade for Phlox – after a little initial care while it settles in, it’ll soon start to take care of itself.
