These long-stemmed, slender blooms are tipped with pointed petals that curve slightly backwards making the Lily Flowering Tulip similar to the lilies that are their namesake. Although this isn’t a particularly large category, you’ll find plenty of inspiration when browsing the range, not only thanks to the elegant form of the blooms, but also due to the fact that the category includes some wonderful colour combinations. Though not quite as late blooming as the single Lates, Lily flowering Tulips are nevertheless late spring bloomers. Combine them with early and mid-spring varieties to extend your Tulip season. Do plan them in a place that’s protected from strong winds, as the slender stems are not very wind resistant.
