Description
A slightly shyer daffodil, Narcissus 'Salome' has little of the bravado of some of her kinsmen. She may be even a little reticent, offering a gentle beauty with her soft shades of yellow and peachy pink that blush on her long, narrow funnel-shaped cup as the flower matures. So non precocious is she that she even prefers a little shade to maintain these soft colours. Narcissus 'Salome' was introduced in 1960 and her longevity plus a Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit stand testimony to the fact that beauty does not have to be too in-your-face brazen.
