Description
A beautiful tall Japanese anemone for the garden border, Anemone × hybrida 'Königin Charlotte' brings wonderful colour in late summer and autumn. It carries masses of large, semi-double, pink, cup-shaped flowers on tall, wiry stems from August through to October. The leaves are attractive, too: like small vine-leaves, they are dark green and semi-evergreen (so the plant is not completely bare over winter). This is an award-winning Anemone — including an Award of Garden merit from the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) — that is perfect for areas of partial shade towards the back of a moist herbaceous or mixed border!
If left undisturbed, Anemone 'Königin Charlotte' will spread to form a most majestic clump. And, after a few years, you will be able to lift and divide the mature clump, in early spring, to give yourself many more, and an even greater splash of late summer colour.
