Double Early Tulips are different to other Tulips, which usually have just six petals. Instead, they produce row upon row of petals, resulting in plump blooms that many people compare to peonies. Because these early bloomers are rather unusual, it’s a relatively small class of Tulips, and less well-known than some of the other classes.
