Description

The name of this narcissus variety is already enough to make gardeners choose it. Who wouldn’t want 'Mother Duck' visiting their garden? But if you choose it for its name at first, you’ll keep growing it for its beauty. There’s a wealth of detail in the blooms. The soft yellow petals have darker edges and curve upwards gracefully, while the long, central trumpet is egg-yolk yellow. Narcissus 'Mother Duck' is an unfussy garden delight that will settle down and naturalize in most UK gardens. Just be sure to give it well-drained soil. 'Mother Duck' narcissi see the narcissus season out with their late-season blooms, so remember to choose some early and mid-season bloomers for a succession of daffodils and narcissus.
