Description
Light up your late winter garden with the sunny yellow glow of spectacular dwarf Iris 'Katherine’s Gold'. With flamboyant upward petals and intricately patterned falls, this variety is every bit as ravishing in looks as her blue-tinged sister, the classic Iris 'Katherine Hodgkin'. Just as reliable in nature too, bravely flowering without fuss during some of the coldest months of the year, this tough little plant is a cheery sign that spring is on its way!
The dainty charm of this beautiful dwarf iris makes it the ideal choice for planting in patio containers (they look particularly good in stone planters and urns) as well as peeping between stones in a rockery. Iris 'Katherine’s Gold' will sit quite happily in cosy groups at the front of borders too. This gorgeous lemon yellow variety provides a lovely warm presence in a planting scheme and looks particularly impressive planted in close groups. A great variety for planting simply in groups of their own, or try it mingled in with other iris colours, crocuses and dwarf Narcissi for a real spring treat!
